If you would like to switch all your everyday banking to B&E with as little fuss as possible, just follow these simple steps and you will be on your way to a more personal banking experience.
Step 1: Open your new B&E account. You can open your new account online, by calling 1300 306 716 or by dropping into your local branch.
If you're a new client we will need to verify your ID in branch. A copy of a drivers licence or passport will do.
Step 2: Review the statements from your old account and identify the incoming and outgoing payments so that you can set these regular payments up in your new account. Make sure there is enough money in your account to cover any outward payments until all your regular payments have been updated to your new account.
Incoming payments might include: Salary, rental income, Centrelink payments or investment income.
Outgoing payments are things like: Phone bills, power bills, water bills or credit card payments.
Step 3: Fill out our online 'Switching' form and we can generate letters to your employers to ask that your salary be paid to your new account.
Step 4: Set up your regular outgoing payments on your new B&E account. You can do this using internet banking or you can ask that a staff member assist you by calling 1300 306 716 or dropping into your local branch.
Step 5: Once you have confirmed that your income is being paid into your new B&E account and that your regular outgoing payments are all being processed normally then you can now transfer any last funds from your old account and close it.
