Tasmanian financial institution B&E Personal Banking has taken home a gold award in the 2010 Money magazine Best of the Best Awards for its market leading term deposit product.
The awards aim to find Australia’s very best financial products, services and investments by examining offerings from banks, credit unions, building societies, non-bank lenders and insurance providers.
B&E’s term deposit product was judged the best long term deposit product (non-banks). The winner was ranked by the average of the current rate and the historical six-month nominal interest rate for a $25,000 balance and one-year term.
B&E Personal Banking CEO Paul Ranson said that the award was recognition of the great value the company’s term deposits provide for clients.
“The deposit market has been very intense over the last 12mths and this award recognises that we have continued to provide a very competitive product which offers a good solid return in a safe and secure environment,” Mr Ranson said.
“We offer three types of investment accounts which are tailored to suit different needs and objectives and which all offer interest rates that are highly competitive.
“Our clients are also secure in the knowledge that their investment at B&E is covered by the government’s deposit guarantee.” Mr Ranson said.
