Community Involvement


At B&E we have a strong belief in the importance of our role in Corporate Responsibility.  Our sponsorship, support and involvement with events and organisations that deliver a community benefit reflects our commitment in this area. 

Below is one example of the many community events in which B&E has been involved. 

B&E Supports Tassie Talent Storm

Three young Tasmanians will showcase their skills in the National Grand Final of Storm the Stage. Their places were secured after successfully competing in the Tasmanian State Final. September 20 National Grand Final. Perth

Niall Maurici of Hobart and Mikaela Campbell of Burnie, both 18, will represent Tasmania at the National Grand Final in the Drama and Musical Theatre categories respectively. Both reached the national final in 2007.

The runner-up in the Drama category, Anya Row of Hobart, 18 will also compete in the National Final to be held at The Burswood Entertainment Complex, Perth on September 20.

Winners of the National Final will receive a cash prize of $5000 as well as the opportunity to be talent spotted by the major television networks.

The Tasmanian State Final took place on Saturday 2nd August at the Theatre Royal. Sixteen performances were judged by Don Gay, Aaron Powell, Nadine Frick and Jacqui Coad in front of a lively audience of 300 people.

Christopher Lawrence from ABC Radio 936 was an exceptionally entertaining host with Michael Curtain providing excellent piano accompaniment for the musical performances.

Storm the Stage in Tasmania is run by the Rotary Club of City Central Hobart. The club would like to thank B&E Limited for their tremendous support for this unique event.
