B&E Burnie 10

In 2012 B&E announced a major new sponsorship initiative, signing up as the naming-rights sponsor for Australia’s premier 10km road race, the Burnie 10 (see media release)

The race has a long and very proud history – 2012 marks the event’s 28th year! The event attracts upwards of 5,000 competitors, ranging from elite athletes to recreational joggers and walkers alike.

Starting and finishing in the heart of Burnie’s central business district, the 10km out and back course winds along the ocean front, ensuring competitors can make the most of a fresh sea breeze and beautiful scenery.

The 2012 event was held on Sunday 21 October, with a record field of 4416 participants!

Well done to Collis Birmingham who was the overall winner and Nikki Chapel who was the female winner!
